Hi! I'm Carly, the Founder & creative behind Saorsa Studio. In 2021, amidst the pandemic, my six-year stint as an Office Manager left me craving more — more creativity, more freedom, more joy.
Ready for a change, I said goodbye to office life, started a coding course, and discovered my passion for blending tech and design.
Hi! I'm Carly, the Founder & creative behind Saorsa Studio. In 2021, amidst the pandemic, my six-year stint as an Office Manager left me craving more — more creativity, more freedom, more joy.
Ready for a change, I said goodbye to office life, started a coding course, and discovered my passion for blending tech and design.
I joined a creative design studio as an assistant to the founder and in two years worked my way up to Lead Web Developer. During this time, I had the privilege of crafting custom websites for a diverse array of industries, from fitness and e-commerce to coaching and hospitality.
Through these experiences, I discovered my love for empowering businesses to thrive online. This inspired the creation of Saorsa Studio, where my mission is to design beautiful, impactful websites that break away from the 'norm' and truly stand out.
"Saorsa" means "freedom" in Scottish Gaelic, and the name felt fitting for so many reasons. Aside from being Scottish myself, it represents both the joy of leaving corporate life behind, plus the freedom and creativity that custom code can offer!
I love the coding side of the job, but what really fuels my excitement is the entire experience of building a website. Getting to know your dreams, your goals, and how your website can help you achieve them.
